Hey there....

Day 16: A song you used to love but now hate.

I'd have to go with "Hey there Delilah," the first time I heard it, I thought it was a great song.

And I thought it was super awesome that it was always on the radio.

Every single day at work...multiple times....

then it got old.

And then I wasn't so fond of it anymore!

Now that there's been a bit of time since then, I'm not so judgmental towards it, however, instinct causes me to cringe a bit when I first hear it.

However, we did make some great parodies of it at swim practice.

Well....I will not reveal all of my deepest darkest secrets on here, like what music I'm secretly in love with! haha

But...to be 100% honest, I think I really do love all types of music....at least for the most part! Even hardcore scream o is fun to sing/yell on rockband!

However, the other day I was driving my friend, and my ipod was playing in my car....

she was surprised that I listen to Say Anything....haha

Me oh my! How time flies!

Christmas is over. :(

But it was fabulous!

And by fabulous, I mean amazing, and awesome, and splendid, and everything in between!

...

Christmas has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday!

I used to make lists of why Christmas is my favorite season when I was bored (and of course decorated it with snow, and snowmen, and Christmas trees, etc...)!

But this year, it was like BAM It's Christmas.

BAM it's over!

It's unconceivable!

When I am finally realizing it's Christmas, it's over!

But let's be real here, if there's one thing that I've learned from Faith Hill it's that "if there is love in your heart and your mind, you will feel like Christmas ALL the time!"

...

Here's a small list of why I LOVE the Christmas season!

-Snow/Winter: Let's get real here, who doesn't love to watch the snow fall? It's so beautiful! I just get so mesmerized when I look up to the sky, and see millions of white things falling down!

-HOT COCOA! With the snow comes hot chocolate, and drinking out of mugs, and I love mugs, and feeling warm!

-Reuniting with family and friends! Going home for the Holidays

is always a blast! Catching up with loved ones, what's better than that?!

-I know I already mentioned snow, but I didn't mention playing in the snow! Sledding, snowball fights, making snowmen, igloos, snowcones, and snowangels!

-LIGHTS. I don't think I need to expound on this one ;)

-Christmas Decorations in general. Lights, trees, Santa statues, NATIVITIES, etc...

-The Christmas Spirit, I think the lyrics to the song Silver Bells sums it up pretty well.

-Christmas Music

-Giving. I love to give to others. There's nothing better. Lately I have felt extremely selfish, and am going to try to do more service. There are so many people out there less fortunate, and although I may not be the richest person in the World (I am definitely far from that!), I am still so much better off than so many others, and it is not acceptable to simply sit here, and do nothing about it.

-Lastly, the thing I love most about Christmas, is Christ. The whole reason we celebrate. It is so easy to get distracted by all of the other parts of Christmas, and forget about Christ. However, I refuse. He did so much for us. He is the reason that we are here, and so, this Christmas, let's not forget about the night, over 2000 years ago, where Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, was born, in a lowly stable.

I don't often listen to music when I go to sleep, because of the fact that it actually makes me stay awake longer than if I had no music.

I'm the type of person who, the minute I lay my head down, I'm passed out!

However, on occasions which I'm really wound up or something, I will listen to music.

I mean the macoroni's soggie the peas are mushed, and the chicken tastes like wood.

So your heart starts pumpin' and you think of a lie and you say that you already ate.

There are definitely not many.

Mostly I know some of the words (i.e. the chorus and outrageous lines) to tons of song, but all of the words...there's a select few.

So, I'll have to go with You're so Vain by Carly Simon.

Ultimate goal: Sing it at a karaoke bar...hopefully I'll sound a bit better than them!

Day 7: A song that reminds you of a certain event.

This tots reminds me of the time when I went to Virgin-eye-ay and visited my BFFIB, and we listened to the Fur Night Club on the radio!

It was flippin awesome!

One night, we went up to some event in some cool monumental town.

When we came home, we jammed to fur night club.

The DJ played Oh Snap.

It was perfect timing.

K-Dawg was driving.

Every one had accidentally fallen asleep (woops, sorry Snourtni).

She was getting tired as well.

When out of nowhere this song, along with "You single? haha Let's mingle!" (AKA Single Girls Rock) and woke all of us up!

It was the best day of my life, and inspired my goal to attend Fur Night Club one day with KiKi!

Every year, I go to Seaside with family and friends. We rent a house, and enjoy eating tons of seafood, reading on the beach, building sandcastles, catching crabs, swimming in the FREEZING cold ocean (and enjoying every second of it), having sand EVERYWHERE, shopping (and no tax in Oregon!), having fires on the beach, and so much more! I have so many great memories there, and I'm sure there are many more to come!

As much as my favoritish songs change with my moods, and the seasons etc...I think I will always be faithful to Sir Jason Mraz.

Hola! Feliz navidad! Merry Belated Christmas!

OK, maybe early!
I just thought I'd drop by. Say hello. How's it going?
I'm doing rather SPLENDID myself!
Can you guess what I should be doing?
If you answered writing a paper, studying for finals, or something along those lines, then BINGO!
But, I'd rather blog, listen to music, look at pictures, play snake, and think happy thoughts!! So...for right now, that is exactly what I'm doing...at least for a few minutes! :)
Any who,
lately I've just been thinking about how blessed I am! First of all, it's my FAVORITE time of the year!! Have I ever mentioned how in love I am with winter, and Christmas? If not, now you know...I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
I also have the best friends and the best family in the World! You can argue, but I'll know deep down inside that you're wrong!
I'm grateful for the plethora of computers I can use at the library while my laptop is being healed! (Did I ever tell you how I was my usual careless self, and dropped my laptop off the table, and now it makes a race-car noise when I turn it on? Because I did...thank goodness for accident insurance!)
I'm grateful for cocoa-motions and cocoa-lattes! They warm my soul when the whether is cold (which hasn't been the case this week...but I won't complain!) Shout out to Nicole and Mark!
I'm grateful for my faith and religion. I can't even express how much peace and happiness it brings me!
I'm grateful for all of the art, beauty, and color in the World! It's rather amazing if you ask me! Whether it be in the snow capped mountains, the lights on temple square, the paintings which regularly grace my optics on the fifth floor of the library, my llama from CAROLLAMAING, or the joy in people's faces, I'm just grateful to live in such a beautiful, inspiring World!
I could go on and on forever about all the things that I'm grateful, but alas, I best get workin' on my paper so I can continue my education at the fine institution of BYU!

holy crap i had an AMAZING time!!!

Once I finally finished packing my bags...i got on a jet plane and headed for the big Virgin-I-A! I stayed with the Madrishins and had such a great time. Not only was I able to do some [and by some i mean a billion] fun touristy things, but I got to do fun touristy things with people I love!! It was SOO fun!

I'm going to be posting what I did on each day, so I won't forget in a few weeks when I loose my mind at school ;)

All my bags are packed.

And I'm ready to go...well almost...sort of.
What is it about packing that I competely dread?!?
My mom told me today it has to do with my inability to make decisions.
This is probably true.
But the whole concept is pretty easy. Pick out a few articles of clothing, personal hygiene items, and some chargers, put it in a bag, and you're good to go.
But have you ever packed with me?!?
Consider yourself lucky if you have not. I have to go through every single article of clothing. With each article, loads of memories flood to my head. So what, I associate memories with what I was wearing that day. Then I have to think...hmm what kind of thing do I see myself doing wearing this outfit. What kind of message do I convey by wearing this camisol under this t-shirt. What if I meet my future husband wearing this? The questions I must ask myself go on for a while. Amid all the pondering I do need a break. That thing between my ears can't always handle going 100 bazillion miles/hour. So then, I look for some good music, check facebook, maybe blog a bit about how I can't pack, then try and decide which shoes to take. bahhhhh

ok...well I'm almost done, and then I will be ready to go to the big VA.
And have an amazing time. and have all the perfect outfits for the planned activities.

Dear USA,

I kind of love you! I'm so greatful to live in this country, and to be able to enjoy all of the freedoms which I enjoy! There are so many people who have sacrficied so much (in many cases everything) for this country. I get chills just thinking about it. I know our founding fathers were inspired men. I'm so thankful for all of the people who have volunteered for our country in the present, the past, and those to come.

I had a fabulous fouth of July. My bff was here, got to go cliffjumping, and boating (that weekend). The fireworks were fired (despite the wind)! There is something about fireworks that completely mesmorizes me. Watching them over the lake, I feel so thankful for everything that I have. For the freedom of religion that I enjoy. For the freedom to do what I want with my life. So many of us take these things that seem completely normal for granted. I know I have. And still do. But in so many places across the World, the everyday freedoms we enjoy are so foreign to people. Anyways, on the forth, I bought myself a plane ticket to Washignton DC! I'm so excited to see all the historical things! Anyways! I hope everybody had an AWESOME fourth!

I had a LOVELY time visiting you! I'd love to go again soon!! :))

What a great little escape I had from work with a couple of my girls!!

We ate lots of yummmy food, did some great shopping, and enjoyed the city life...which definitely includes people watching!! So entertaining!

Anyway, me Cari, and Kim left Friday afternoon, and got into town just in time for dinner! Which was lovely! We did some shopping, and headed back to the hotel. Saturday we started the day out at my favorite pikes place!! :) Where we ate from a vegan type bakery, and got organic smoothies from a fruit stand! :)

We did lots of shopping, and eat lunch at a little bistro...where i had the yummiest pinnini!! I just love to say that word!

Anyways, it was a fabulous weekend! Thanks for makin' it great Seattle!!

Do you ever get so SUPER DUPER excited for something that you just can't stop squirming and you want to sing and dance and jump, and your brain is overwhelmed with happy thoughts?!? So, this summer I've been trying to work out more! Get back into a routine! So, I've been doing yoga every morning with my mom, and trying to run in the evenings. My schedule is a little different like everyday, so it's not always the exact thing, but I try and get in as much as I can! And I've been loving this though! I feel so energized after my daily yoga, and on top of the World after I run! I want to start training for a triathlon. I'm working on getting a good bike, or figuring somethin' out! But I want to make a goal to start doing more races. I ran in the 5K during Memorial Day weekend, and did it in under 30 minutes which was pretty much my only goal. ha ha to see where I was at! But I want to start doing more of those, and then run a marathon, or half marathon at least in a year or less from now!! And I DEFINITELY want to do some kind of race with my Santa Suit at Christmas time when they have Santa runs!!!! :D Anyone interested in training with me?!?
