For the first time today, I looked at you in complete admiration. I recall so vividly that day in August, driving into Utah, being surrounded by you in all directions (and billboards as well). Me and Lilly looked at each other, both wondering why we were in Utah, and what we were thinking when we decided to come to BYU! You see, where I come from, you look around, and you can see for ages in all directions. Being surrounded by you came as quite a shock.
Then, I hiked Mount Tip, which was majestical. I also hiked a few other ones, which made you more tolerable. Granted there were days when you looked so beautiful, however, you still made me feel clostrophobic. Sometimes I'd look out a window, or something, and jump a little becuase I forgot you were there!
However, today, as I was walking to econ this morning, I looked to see Squaw Peek and the rest of all of you looking so lovely. I just stoped for a small second (because of course I was running late for class) and admired you. And I didn't even feel trapped, not even for a split second. It was kind of a big deal when I realized what had just happened.
So, all in all, I'm glad that I've warmed up to you.
I'm glad you offer awesome skiing/snowboarding opprotunites.
I'm glad I can hike you.
I'm glad you look pretty.
I'm glad you offer some sweet views.
I'm glad I can explore you!
And...I'm glad you offer some sweet geological information about the history of Utah/Earth (Thank you to my geological field studies class fall semester for teaching me that!)
Enjoying the snow on some mountains!
